The photographer
Marie-Claire Greve (1966) is a Dutch fine art photographer devoted to creating images inspired by her passion for nature and wildlife.
Her images strike your heart. Her photography is abstract and leads people to question what they are actually looking at and by doing so, they start to actually see. See the beauty of nature — and if you see that beauty, you care. Through her photography Marie-Claire seeks to inspire and connect people of all ages and ethnicities, as well as organizations active in the conservation of Earth’s precious biospheres. Her hope is that if we better understand that we are as much part of nature as any other living species, we would soon realize that what we do to nature, we do to ourselves.
‘My biggest influence is Jane Goodall, the British primatologist and anthropologist. As a girl who was connected to nature, Goodall was supported by her mother in following her dream in Africa. Her belief in her mission, and her curiosity to keep learning has made her an icon of nature conservation. An example to many!’
‘My work environment is nature, the most inspirational source of all colours, shapes and patterns. It’s an environment in which we lose track of time, and where the silence, through its sounds, allows us to reflect on our inner self.’
